What a beautiful day the Lord has given to us today! I am so grateful for the goodness of God! He is always with us, never leaving us! He is our help in times of trouble. He is everything we need!
I hope you are digging into the Word of God and finding treasures during these times. His Word is alive! Believe me when I say it will come to life and speak hope to you! Many are tuned into the news, reading the latest on the virus, and sitting in anticipation of additional news. Fear has a grip on many. We need to realize fear is powerless unless we give it power.
I am writing to those who believe Jesus is the Son of God. Are you scared? Is the atmosphere around you one of anxiety? Ask yourself why. You have so much power over the enemy! You are a world conqueror! You are a history maker and a world changer! You have Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords! You are in partnership with the champion!
God says in 1 John 5:4, “You see, every child of God overcomes the world for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the son of God!”
Your faith is the victorious power to overcome, and the action on what you believe to be true.
When we fill our ears and eyes with what the world has to offer, you believe the doubt, the fear, and the lies of our enemy. Yes, these are trying times. However, Jesus reminded us in John 17:14-17, that we are not of this world. We are children of God, a part of a heavenly kingdom. We have been given gifts, talents, authority, and permission to be bold in our faith and actions so that the power of Jesus’ sacrifice could be released to those around us. We are the ones to bring freedom to the captives.
What are you focusing on during these trying times? How much of your day is devoted to building yourself up in the Lord? What you feed yourself with will be the very thing you empower.
Here are a few verses to ponder. Let them build your faith and remind you of how great our God is! God is for you, never against you!
Those who trust in the Lord are as unshakeable, as unmovable as mighty Mount Zion! Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord’s wrap-around presence surround his people, protecting them now and forever. Psalm 125:1-2 TPT
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 TPT
God, your wrap-around presence is my protection and my defense. You bring victory to all who reach out for you. Psalm 7:10 TPT
Keep me safe, O mighty God. I run for dear life to you, my safe place. So I said to the Lord God, “You are my Maker, my Mediator, and my Master. Any good thing you find in me has come from you.” And he said to me, “My holy lovers are wonderful, my majestic ones, my glorious ones, fulfilling all my desires.” Yet there are those who yield to their weakness, and they will have troubles and sorrows unending. I never gather with such ones, nor give them honor in any way. Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you, for you have given me the best! The way you counsel and correct me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Because you are close to me and always available, my confidence will never be shaken, for I experience your wrap-around presence every moment. My heart and soul explode with joy—full of glory! Even my body will rest confident and secure. For you will not abandon me to the realm of death, nor will you allow your Holy One to experience corruption. For you bring me a continual revelation of resurrection life, the path to the bliss that brings me face-to-face with you. Psalm 16 TPT
