In follow up from the previous blog, What Will You Do Champion, I am including more scriptures to show us the promises God has given us. I hope you will ponder them in the days to come. Take time to listen to what God’s Word is saying. May I suggest printing this post, underlining what jumps off of the page as you read it? Don’t stop there! Continue to ponder, reread, make notes of what stands out to you. Let it deeply affect you!
“Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!
So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” (Romans 8: 37-39 The Passion Translation)
“His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!” The verse from Romans stood out to me this week. What Christ did on the cross equals our great victory over everything! Colossians 3:1 tells us, “Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too.” As I pondered these words, they filled my heart with confidence for nothing is impossible nor is there any trouble in my life too small for God’s promises to cover. I made notes and lists in my journal as I pondered.
“Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.” (2 Peter 1: 3-4 TPT)
Again, I wrote this verse out and underlined what was standing out to me and gave it deep reflection.
Look at what is written about mankind. Knowing who we are as citizens is vital to living a victorious life. Yes, battles and troubles will come however look at what God has given us.
“Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence. You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of your image-bearers. All the created order and every living thing of the earth, sky, and sea— the wildest beasts and all that move in the paths of the sea— everything is in submission to Adam’s sons.” (Psalms 8: 5-8)
If you are a child of God, having made Jesus the lord of your life, you are a citizen of heaven. You have access to amazing benefits. Will you believe and not let go of God’s truth? Will you daily declare who you are and the powerful promises that belong to you. The spoken promises of God will shape your today and tomorrow!
