If you are growing in faith and understanding of the Word of God, it can be overwhelming. If you have come from a performance-based background, you feel like it is impossible to please God. You are not alone. Many God-loving people feel the way you do, however, know there is a better way!
Jesus is our example! He came and lived a life as we have. He had a mother and father, grew up, learned, worked, and experienced everything life throws.
After he was baptized and reunited with the Holy Spirit, Jesus lived a life showing us how to overcome as Children of God. Christ Jesus gave analogies, stories, commands, instructions, and more as examples that we might overcome. We need to spend more time listening and hearing what the Word of God is showing us. As opposed to trusting in the doctrines of man and the religious spirits that continually pull our dependency from our Savior, Jesus.
God is so creative! Answers that come from the Lord always seem to arrive in different packages! When Jesus walked the earth he healed people in many ways. At times, Jesus just had to speak the Word and people were healed, other times, Jesus had to remove a demon presence before healing would come, some people needed to obey an instruction from him to be set free. Multitudes were set free in countless ways.
I find that so many people don’t know who they are. They doubt the Word of God. Doubts of God’s love trouble many. How could God want me to speak to a circumstance and it actually moves out of my way!
We all have been guilty of depending on our own knowledge and understanding of life. Circumstances scream at us and we believe what we see over what God has declared. We need to renew our minds and cling to the Word of God! We need Psalm 138 to be a foundational stone for us. Verse 2 states, “For the promises of your word and the fame of your name have been magnified above all else!”
We need to know that nothing is higher in all creation than God’s Words and the name of Jesus! Nothing else can stand against it!
Look at what Jesus modeled for us.
Jesus when in the desert, a harsh and unforgiving place, lived on the word of God. When faced with temptation and the harassment from Satan, Jesus came directly back with the Word of God, starting each stand against temptation with the following!
IT IS WRITTEN… IT IS WRITTEN… IT IS WRITTEN…
So it should be with us as we are thrown obstacles, negative thoughts, doubt, sickness, or whatever it is we are dealing with, declare what God says. Remind your enemy, It is written…!
The Word of God is alive! (Hebrews 4:12) When we speak it out it is powerful!
In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (Jesus) was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. ~John 1:1
Darkness (evil) has not overcome the Word, Jesus, nor will it ever! We have been instructed to open our mouths and declare the promises. The laws of God are His, He put them into operation!
Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” ~ Mark 11: 23
Mountains are anything that stands in the way of living a victorious, healthy, and blessed life on earth as it is in heaven.
The Lord wants you to:
Speak boldly!
Declare aloud the promises from the Word of God!
Remind the enemy he has no hold on you because you are a child of God with It is written…
….God said I can resist you and you must flee!
Worship the Lord your God!
Stand up and take what is rightfully yours! Ask the Holy Spirit to help you recognize what you are allowing to be robbed from you. Pick up a promise book and learn what belongs to you! The Lord has set a banquet table before us all! It is our responsibility to pick it up and enjoy it!
As I write this, Coronavirus is making its move across the world. It has had a powerful effect worldwide. However, it is a sickness that Jesus took care of and put in its place the moment the blood flowed from his wounds. It has no power. The price has been paid for it. As a child of God, it is under your feet. Place it under your feet with the Word of God! Tell fear, you are a liar and to be quiet, in Jesus’ name! Resist the enemy and he will flee from you!
Let’s stand strong with our eyes fixed on Jesus! Let’s speak the Word! Let’s tell Coronavirus it is done! Let’s write history- giving God the glory he deserves!
