I hope the last blog gave you something to think about. Are you finding your grit?
As a child of God, you have received so much! The Lord has not withheld anything from you. You have access to all of heaven’s treasury.
Every promise is yours!
Look at what God is telling us. ” Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For All this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by his name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises (a) that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world. ” 2 Peter 1: 3 – 4 (TPT)
You see, you have everything you need to be a mighty overcomer! God’s plan from the beginning was to send Jesus and not only restore the garden experience but improve it.
Hebrews 11: 40 (TPT) says, “But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had – faith’s fullness!
Here in Hebrews when you read chapter 11, you read about faith’s heroes of the Old Covenant. The mighty power of God showed up to save, free, and conquer whatever these men and women faced as they believed in what God had told them. Yet, God is telling us we have something better than they did!
Because of what Jesus went through the weekend of his death, burial, and resurrection, we now are in a new and better covenant! A covenant that will never be broken! Jesus told his disciples he had to leave so he could send the Counselor. (b) Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to abide within us just as he did in Jesus. The same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. The same Holy Spirit that hovered over the earth the week of creation. The same Holy Spirit that has released the power of God in every miracle, sign, or wonders God has performed from day one in and through anyone.
We can have as much as we want of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He is a gift Jesus sent us. Trust Him.
After receiving Holy Spirit as a gift from the Lord, Jesus has also given us his authority. In Luke 10:19-20, Jesus tells us, “Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority.” Wow! Jesus who has sat down at the right hand of the Father has now handed you the keys to the kingdom of heaven for you to step back into your rightful place on this earth. Jesus has restored our dominion over the earth from the beginning. We have the authority to exercise the name of Jesus and watch things change around us as we proclaim the promises and goodness of God. This is truly something better than Adam and Eve were given. It includes spiritual authority as well.
Jesus told his disciples to remain in Jerusalem until they received the power of God, the Holy Spirit. (c) Holy Spirit is our counselor, teacher, stand-by, intercessor, helper, advocate, power, and so much more! As you ponder something better, ask Holy Spirit to give you a fresh revelation of these scriptures. It is a time to act on the Word of God.
Galatians 6:7 says, “Make no mistake about it, God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest.” What are you planting? What are you speaking? How are you acting? Are people attracted to you? Why? What do they receive from you? Do people leave your presence with Jesus filling their thoughts or realizing something was different about you? These questions are not to offend but to get us all to think about how we are representing our Lord and Savior! People need to see the Lord in us. Heaven and Hell are real. Once the period goes on to the end of our story, we can not change what we have sown here on the earth.
