Who are the overcomers of this world?
Have you ever pondered this? Are you able to overcome what life throws your way? Is it possible to live in victory? Is it?
Life is more than a job, mundane chores, and routines. Life is to live, to explore, to discover, to thrive, to give!
I love what 1 John 5 says, “You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So, who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”
Our faith in Jesus, who truly conquered death, sin, and every curse in his resurrection, is our life-giving power to walk out victory daily. Yes, there are many tools to use but the source of power behind each tool is Jesus’ resurrection power alive within us!
Jesus came to undo and defeat the work of the enemy! I believe this with all my heart. I see it daily at work in and through my life.
Two weeks ago, a small team of us joined a much bigger team in Peru to share the love of God. God touched the lives of people there. All ages! We saw dead religion and paganism destroyed as boys and girls, men and women found what it was like to walk into the love of God. They experienced a touch from God as they entered a new relationship with him. We had the chance to pray with so many and each stepped away having encountered the Lord and the look on their faces said it all. Love, true love. I asked so many if they had ever felt anything like this and the answer was always no. I would explain this is the real true God who loves them so much! It was powerful.
God is powerful and loving! On our trip, we saw people saved, the most powerful miracle of all. We saw people healed. Pain washed away, hurt, worry, doubts healed in God’s love. We saw physical miracle as well. Vission made perfect, hurting bodies set free, asthmatic lungs opened, backs straightened, pain erased, internal miracles, and the list goes on. God loves to heal and set captives free!
Nothing is impossible for God! I have seen too much to believe anything less.
Missions.Me, the ministry organization, partnered with churches there to do this countrywide work. I know the church we teamed with experience so much and God has empowered them to continue what the Lord started just a few weeks ago. Faith is alive there in Piura, belief in what God can do is soaring, and the people are moving forward as God leads to change generations to come.
Everyone on our missions team came with something on their heart that was individual to them and from the Lord. It was so fun to see the Holy Spirit connect them to other people. God so intricately matched them. Faith was alive to believe for the needs others came with, the Lord was there and moved in power and might. It was so beautiful to watch our team stretch themselves and grow in faith and expectation of what God can do in and through them.
The power of God is with us everywhere we go. Holy Spirit is alive in us children of God! Ready and willing to move on our behalf and for those around us just like in the days of Jesus!
Today, stretch yourself! Let God move in and through you in power and might! It can be the smallest simplest thing he asks of you. Do it and watch God show up! It is all His power anyway.
Lord, thank you for giving us your Spirit to do this life. Thank you for saving us! Our forever has already begun with you! Thank you for the plans you have for our lives. I trust you, God, to use me. I am available. I am ready. I know it is always you who does the work and I give you all the Glory! It is all yours! In Jesus name! Amen.
